Saguna Network gets LTE Visionary Award

Saguna Networks, an innovative provider of Radio Access Network (RAN) application acceleration and mobile content delivery on HSPA and LTE networks, was recently recognized with the LTE Visionary Award from Mobility Tech Zone, the mobile broadband industry's information source.

The company was awarded for its Content Optimization Delivery System, which improves the mobile broadband experience without the need for mobile network operators to increase capacity in RAN. Apart from improving the user experience and service delivery, the CODS reduces repetitive content delivery traffic and costs by approximately 70 percent. Seeing the success of CODS, the company is also planning to launch a RAN application acceleration solution for optimizing the delivery cost of web content and applications over mobile networks.

"A number of leading mobile operators around the world are currently trialing our Saguna CODS solutions," explained Lior Fite, CEO at Saguna Networks. "This award recognition reinforces the vision that we share with our customers for enabling cost effective mobile networks that can deliver the promise of LTE."

"Saguna's achievements in advancing 4G through LTE development is worthy of being selected as recipient of the Mobility Tech Zone LTE Visionary Award," said Carl Ford, co-founder and community developer at Crossfire Media, one of the sponsors of Mobility Tech Zone. "Saguna is an innovator and one to watch for the next evolution of solutions."

Meanwhile, Saguna Networks has announced partnership with Alvarion, a provider of WiMAX and wireless broadband solutions worldwide, to add its CODS solution into Alvarion’s WiMAX portfolio. Offering a new breed of proxy caching solutions for mobile network and WiMAX network operators, Saguna provides them a viable business model for delivery of high quality, rich content over the networks to the masses. The mCDN solution slashes content transport cost by approximately 80 percent, while creating a new standard in user experience and service delivery, according to company officials.
