Just in time for the Christmas influx of electronics under the tree, Ematic and Liquipel have teamed up to offer waterproof technology that protects Android tablets from accidental spills, from egg nog to peppermint lattes. As such, users can have their FunTab Pro and Genesis Prime devices coated in a transparent, waterproof layer, which protects against internal and external moisture.
As Roy Rayn, president of Ematic, recently noted, this advancement in the world of technology allows users to work on their devices poolside if they so please. "With Liquipel, we can offer our consumers an enhanced mobile experience and complete peace of mind when using the Genesis Prime or FunTab Pro in even the wettest environments. Liquipel's commitment to excellence and its breakthrough technology made this partnership an easy decision for us."
Before making their way down the chimney with Santa, FunTab Pros and Genesis Primes will bathe in Liquipel’s Liquipods, where they’ll each be covered in the invisible coating. The coating covers everything on the tablets, from their power buttons to their USB ports to their headphone jacks.
Exective director of Liquipel Sam Winkler notes that the Liquipel coating is beneficial for kids and adults alike, given each group’s proneness to accidents: "At Liquipel, we know how accident-prone adults can be who are actually trying to take care of their devices. Kids, on the other hand, are a different story and that's why Liquipel is great fit. Now that parents can get pretreated FunTab Pro and Genesis Prime tablets, they can rest easy knowing that these fun learning devices can withstand just about anything their kids can dish out."
In fact, as the FunTab Pro is specifically designed for children, its pint-sized users can even feel safe with their electronic toys during bathtime.
Each Liquelpel-lathered device is available on WalMart’s site and costs just under $130.
