(http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/91807f/2009_european_cxos) has announced the addition of Frost & Sullivan's new report "2009 European CXOs' Choice: Computing Products and Services" to their offering.
Laptops and Smart Phones - The Most Used Mobile Computing Products by Chief Executive Officers in Europe
Laptops and smart phones are the most commonly used mobile computing products by European CXOs. Web-based collaboration tools, which the European CXOs find valuable particularly while travelling, are also gradually gaining importance. Mobile-based applications, both location-based and multimedia contents, are relatively new concepts with significant potential for the service providers. "Among the various mobile communication and computing products and services surveyed in this research, all European CXOs use or own laptops/notebooks," says the analyst of this research. "They perceive reliability as the core function of their laptop/notebook with all other features being less important."
Smart phone ownership increased dramatically from 2008 to 2009, with nearly twice as many European CXOs now owning a smart phone. This significant increase has directly affected the standard feature phone ownership rates. Nearly all European CXOs perceive smart phones to be strictly business phones, and standard feature phones are seen as personal use phones. According to the CXOs, battery life and ease of use are the most important features for both smart phones and standard feature phones. "Overall, among those using web-based collaboration tools, 70 percent consider ease-of-use as the most important feature," concludes the analyst. "Interestingly, having a powerful feature set is least important to European CXOs as few of them use mobile multimedia content applications or mobile location based applications."
