Online Property Auction House Site CivicSource Auctioneer Announces Four Upcoming Auctions in Louisiana

Aug 31, 2010 (PRWeb.com via COMTEX) -- More and more investors are becoming aware of the excellent potential of purchasing tax titles at government auctions. With the creation of online venues like CivicSource Auctioneer, it is becoming even more popular because it opens up the auction to investors all across the country.

For investors, it is a low-risk way of diversifying their portfolio. Tax title sales work like this: > The sheriff's department provides a list of tax-delinquent properties.

> A website portal is built through the CivicSource Auctioneer site so investors can browse the available properties from any computer with Internet access.

> Investors can register up to 4 weeks prior to the auction. There is no registration fee.

> The investor bids a percentage of interest; the lowest bid wins. The investor pays the delinquent taxes and subsequent taxes during the redemption period.

> The homeowner has a redemption period during which he or she can redeem the property by paying all taxes that were owed during that time plus interest. If the property is not redeemed, the investor takes complete possession of the property.

The next auctions offered on CivicSource Auctioneer are on September 14th, 15th and 16th.
