The United States is on a constant expansion path when it comes to broadband penetration. As a result, it is essential that operators examine a full range of technologies that can provide broadband services throughout the country, including areas that are rural.

To get a better grasp on this, and the technologies involved, an upcoming TMC Webinar: “WiMAX (News - Alert) or TD-LTE: Addressing the demand for broadband services through a multi-technology approach,” is scheduled for Tuesday September 28 at 2PM EST.

This Webinar will address how to build a multi-frequency network with the use of long range 4G wireless technologies. These technologies are specifically targeted for broadband wireless application.

Representing the advanced telecommunications and information technology interests in more than 1,500 rural utilities and affiliates in 48 states, the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC (News - Alert)) will be on hand to provide the insight on deploying wireless broadband in rural areas.

Global 4G wireless broadband provider, Alvarion, is set to present the technology strategies available that can cost effectively build a future proof wireless broadband network.

Attendees participating in the webinar will learn how to build a multi-frequency network with the use of long range 4G wireless technologies specifically targeted for broadband wireless application.

They will also gain insight regarding the deployment of wireless broadband in rural areas and those strategies that can be used to build a future proof wireless broadband network through cost effective strategies.

This event is specifically designed to cater to wireless service providers, wireless equipment vendors, wireless component vendors, rural electric and telephone utilities and municipal wireless providers.

Presenters include Ashish Sharma (News - Alert), vice president of Marketing, Alvarion Ltd. And Kurt Schaubach, vice president of Broadband Technologies for NTRC. Sharma was instrumental in the development of the WiMAX industry during its infancy, and has continued to contribute to its growth by leading key activities with Alvarion and the WiMAX Forum (News - Alert).

Schaubach develops the direction of NRTC’s broadband strategy, including the successful deployment of 4G technologies with members, spectrum management, and ensuring that NRTC offers the latest Internet and communications solutions to meet member needs.
