Mformation's Device Management Server Interoperable with Elitecore's AAA Solution

Mformation Technologies Inc., provider of mobile device management (MDM) technology, together with Elitecore Technologies Ltd, an IT product company with a focus on fast growing telecommunication, networks and security markets, announced that Elitecore’s EliteAAA with Mformation’s (News - Alert) OMA DM-based advanced device management server has successfully completed the interoperability testing (IOT).
 
Mformation’s device management server and Elitecore products’ testing was based on the specification of WiMAX (News - Alert) Forum’s NWG (Network Working Group).
 
Rakesh Kushwaha, the chief technology officer and co-founder of Mformation Technologies, Inc., stated that the mobile device management as well as the AAA platforms are significant enablers of a flawless subscriber experience in an growing complex mobile environment. The integration of Mformation’s market-leading device management capabilities with Elitecore’s AAA solution is vital to activating, provisioning and managing the broad range of devices that will be connected to WiMAX networks successfully.
 
Dhaval Vora, from the AVP Telecom Solutions Group at Elitecore Technologies (News - Alert), said that with an increasing number of devices needing authentication in the mobile WiMAX ecosystem, the Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) function plays a crucial role in the WiMAX network for device authentication & subscriber management. A significant step towards providing more flexibility to WiMAX operators in an open WiMAX ecosystem is making sure of the interoperability between Elitecore’s AAA solution and Mformation’s highly developed device management platform.
 
The interoperability testing between EliteAAA and Mformation’s device management server consisted of the successful execution of a broad range of test cases, counting multiple devices under one subscription, online/offline device activation, replacement of device, change of subscription information, batch provisioning via UI, firmware update, and addition to blacklist.
 
The interoperability testing was done successfully by the use of new users and devices, and also existing users.
 
The OMA DM-based advanced device management server of Mformation allows mobile operators and service providers to configure, activate, diagnose, update, secure and manage WiMAX-capable devices remotely across all phases of their lifecycle. The EliteAAA WiMAX solution has passed the WiMAX Forum (News - Alert) Network Working Group standard and it offers broad mobile WiMAX support like mobile IP and device authentication.
 
In related news, Elitecore recently won 10 Wimax contracts in SEA, APAC, and Europe.
