In just a few days, Carrier Ethernet company RAD Data Communications (News - Alert) will take center stage to present two lectures during the Carrier Ethernet World Congress, which opens in Amsterdam on Oct. 10.

RAD’s Yacov Cazes and Ronen Guri are among the many telecommunications industry experts who are scheduled to speak at the event. Carrier Ethernet World Congress, now in its seventh year, brings together over 600 attendees for the largest conference and exhibition for the Ethernet networking and services industry. The event features over 100 presentations, discussion panels, briefings and master classes having to do with the Carrier Ethernet industry.

At this year’s event, Cazes, director of business development for Carrier Ethernet Solutions at RAD Data Communications (News - Alert), will participate in the panel discussion titled "Debating the Role of Carrier Ethernet in Next Generation Access," to be held on Oct. 11. Guri, RAD’s director of business development for Mobile Backhaul Solutions, will speak on "The Pain Points and Their Remedies When Implementing Carrier Ethernet for 3G and LTE (News - Alert)," on Oct. 12.

In addition to lecturing, RAD is looking forward to highlighting its full Network Termination Unit (NTU) platform at the show which ranges from 1 Mbps to 10 Gbps, and offers carrier class high capacity access aggregation for Ethernet and TDM legacy services. This platform establishes RAD as a one-stop-shop for Carrier Ethernet access, middle mile and edge of carrier networks, according to company officials.

RAD is a Gold Sponsor of the Carrier Ethernet World Congress.

In other company news, recently, RAD had a lot to celebrate as summer came to a close as the company was shortlisted as a Carrier Ethernet Vendor Awards finalist in two different categories.

The final winners of the Carrier Ethernet awards will be named during this year’s Carrier Ethernet World Congress. RAD's ETX-203A Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Device, with its in-house ASIC that slashes CapEx to drastically reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), was named a finalist in the "Best Carrier Ethernet Demarcation Product" category. The ASIC-based ETX-205A Carrier Ethernet Mobile Demarcation Device (MDD) was tapped in the "Best Carrier Ethernet Mobile Product" category.
