SpotSee's SpotBot Cellular Now Certified for Distribution in More Than 30 Countries


SpotSee, a global leader in shock, vibration and temperature monitoring through low-cost connectivity and data, is now certified to distribute its impact-monitoring device SpotBot™ Cellular in the United States as well as Brazil, Canada, China, the European Economic Area (EEA), Japan, Mexico and South Korea.

"Being certified in the US for the past few years has allowed SpotSee to establish a good foundation," said Angela Kerr, vice president, product portfolio, SpotSee. "Since then, we've expanded our reach globally to be able to distribute SpotBot Cellular to countries in Asia, Europe and South America. Now, supply-chain processes can be transparent across continents."

In order to be manufactured, marketed or imported into the U.S., radio-frequency devices are required to be reviewed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC (News - Alert)). The FCC label certifies that any electromagnetic interference from a device is under the appropriate limits to esure devices can operate effectively without causing harmful interference. Products are tested and given the FCC label if they meet the requirements.



SpotBot Cellular is a stand-alone device that delivers global, real-time, tri-axial impact monitoring and tracking through cellular connectivity. The device tracks impact, temperature and location around the world and has an operating battery life of up to 75 days when reporting once an hour. It is mainly used when shipping items that are susceptible to damage during transport and provides comprehensive supply-chain transparency.
