Samsung Mobile Launches Television and Online Campaign to Prove 'The Next Big Thing Is Already Here'

Smartphones are rapidly expanding their share within the overall market for mobile phones and, supported by the ever increasing adoption by the users on a mass scale, mobile companies have been exerting maximum thrust to tap the promising pool of consumers who have currently been using mobile phones but wish to switch to a smartphone as soon as possible.

Samsung Telecommunications America also known as Samsung Mobile, a well known provider of mobile phones within the United States, has launched an aggressive advertising campaign that concentrates on promoting the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone among the users in an effective manner.

Having a tagline “The Next Big Thing Is Already Here,” the campaign running through the television and online media has been focusing at making the people aware about the enhanced design, 4G speeds and intuitive user experiences offered by the Samsung Galaxy SII smartphone. Over 10 million units of the device, which is one of the best ranked smartphones available in the market, have been sold worldwide till know.

Within the advertisement, users already having the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone are shown forming a long queue outside a store, waiting for a new smartphone to be delivered to them. When one of them highlights the stylish design, large screen, 4G speeds and the wide variety of apps and content offered by the Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone and finds it to be much better than the new smartphone, people standing in the queue begin feeling it was useless to go for the new smartphone, as they’ve already got the “Next Big Thing” with them. Hence, the advertisement winds up with the message saying “The Next Big Thing Is Already Here” as far as the smartphone market is concerned.

The campaign was launched by Samsung on its Facebook page on Wednesday, November 23rd, while a 60-second version of the television spot aired during the Thanksgiving-day NFL games on FOX and CBS. Afterwards, the 15 second and 30 second versions of the campaign will continuously be aired upon well known broadcast and cable networks till the Christmas Day.

“Samsung is committed to bringing consumers the most innovative, feature-rich products on the market today,” commented Dale Sohn, president of Samsung Mobile. “The Galaxy S II has already shown its leadership and success through tremendous reviews and sales. We’re excited for the opportunity to educate as many consumers as possible about why the Samsung Galaxy S II is the preferred choice for smartphone owners,” added Sohn.

In October 2011, Samsung Telecommunications America announced the release of its Samsung Approved for Enterprise (SAFE) program. Enterprise customers deploying SAFE solutions which use the capabilities of Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone and tablet will be provided with secure data and application connectivity for their mobile workforce while they are away from their workstations or desks.
