Elitecore Technologies Completes interoperability Testing

Telecom Operations and Business Support Systems (OSS/BSS) systems provider, Elitecore Technologies has successfully completed the interoperability testing (IOT) of its EliteAAA with WiChorus' Intelligent ASN Gateway and Home Agent.
AAA refers to Authentication, Authorization and Accounting. CRESTEL Convergent Billing Solution, a product of Elitecore Technologies, is a carrier-grade solution enabling next-generation voice, video and data services over wireline/wireless networks.
EliteAAA is a cost-effective offering from CRESTEL and is a powerful AAA that centrally manages the authentication of subscribers, authorizes them for appropriate level of service, and ensures reliable accounting of their usage. Testing of WiChorus and Elitecore products was based on the WiMAX Forum's NWG specification.
The AAA features support for RADIUS and Diameter, as well as broad supplemental authentication protocols such as EAP, EAP-TLS and EAP-TTLS. It provides extensive mobile WiMAX support such as device authentication and mobile IP.
WiChorous is the provider of SmartCore platform enable intelligent networks and services and allows operators to effectively streamline operational costs and deploy scalable, profitable WiMAX networks.
This successful interoperability is a significant step toward an open WiMAX ecosystem that promises greater flexibility for operators rolling out WiMAX 802.16e networks, says the company.
"By working with leading WiMAX vendors such as WiChorus, we are demonstrating to network operators the viability of WiMAX solutions from a wide array of vendors, while ensuring robust end-end network applications for users through interoperability testing," said Nikhil Jain, chief operating officer and director at Elitecore Technologies.
