A Subsidiary of Sybase (News - Alert) and a provider of mobile messaging and mobile commerce services, Sybase 365 recently announced the new Diameter Routing Hub which has been developed to enable roaming flexibility for global subscribers of LTE.

The new Diameter Routing Hub which has been designed over the Sybase 365 IP Exchange (IPX) framework and is driven by the Mavenir Systems' (News - Alert) Diameter Routing technology is the only commercial service in the world which offers robust LTE network roaming.

Although LTE is a rapidly expanding mobile system technology, current deployments of the technology provide very little roaming support to subscribers. However, with the development of the Sybase 365 Diameter Hub for LTE Roaming, operators can now offer their customers who use other LTE networks across the globe with LTE roaming. By delivering this kind of flexibility in LTE roaming via its latest offering, Sybase makes it possible for consumers to easily access services and enhances users experience even as they navigate across different network environments.

It also forecasted that by the end of 2012, there will be more than 100 total commercial networks. The increase in devices enabled for LTE networks has pushed the need for seamless roaming.
