PCTEL (News - Alert), a provider of antenna and scanning receiver solutions, has just enhanced its wireless connectivity portfolio to now include lightning protection, high performance coaxial cables and cable assemblies, engineered enclosure systems and custom configured kits.
The new custom engineered enclosure systems accommodate industrial grade heating and cooling systems, battery backup, charge controllers, and power supplies. These solutions are designed for a variety of industrial wireless, broadband access, fleet management and defense applications. The enclosures also support Ethernet switches and custom brackets for various OEM radio systems.
"We have recently added engineering and operations capabilities to design and customize configured kits that address specific wireless system deployment issues," said Jeff Miller, senior vice president of Sales and Marketing at PCTEL, in a statement.
"We are witnessing significant growth in wireless site deployments across the various verticals we serve. Our OEM and Enterprise customers continue to reach out to PCTEL for support of their systems and site deployments through turnkey network connectivity solutions and kits," Miller added.
An important feature of PCTEL's high-performance lightning protection solution includes GPS synchronization of cellular carrier base station sites. Additionally, the company's coaxial cable and cable assembly products now include low loss, fire-retardant Plenum-rated and halogen-free options.
PCTEL develops and supports scanning receivers for LTE (News - Alert), TD-LTE, EVDO, CDMA, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, GSM, and WiMAX networks. The company's SeeGull scanning receivers, SeeHawk visualization tool, and CLARIFY system measure, monitor and optimize cellular networks.
Further, the wireless connectivity provider offers high-value YAGI, land mobile radio, Wi-Fi, GPS, in-tunnel, subway, and broadband antennas (parabolic and flat panel).
Just last week, Verizon Wireless (News - Alert) revealed it is continuing to make strides in the wireless connectivity space with the news that it has launched its robust 4G LTE network in 27 new markets, including in Ocala, Fla. and nearby communities. To read the full report, click here.
