Our vector analysis for the wireless industry reveals the following trends:
We estimate that the December 2014 quarter for wireless infrastructure equipment was up x% in total units as compared with the September 2014 quarter. We also note that our prior estimate called for x% growth with actual shipments increasing by x% more.
We forecast that the March 2015 quarter for wireless infrastructure equipment will see an increase of x% in unit shipments. This compares with our prior forecast for a decline of x%. The normal seasonality of Q1 declining by 10-15% does not seem to be holding for 2015.
We forecast that the June 2015 quarter will see an increase of unit demand, up x% from the March 2015 quarter. Traditionally, Q2 is a sequentially up quarter in wireless telecom.
We are providing our first glimpse of the September 2015 quarter with current expectations down x% from the June quarter.
