Maxthon Extends Isolator Protection to Page Crashes

BEIJING, March 26, 2010 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Maxthon International has expanded the Isolator feature of its Maxthon browser to block the crash of a single page tab so that it does not cause other tabs to crash.

The Isolator was introduced last year as a function that prevents the freezing of a single tab causing other tabs to freeze. Before the development of the Isolator, a problem on one page tab caused by poor html code, script, or a conflict between operations, could freeze or bring down other pages.

Usually the only remedy was to close and relaunch the browser. Most other browsers still do not have the protection the Isolator gives Maxthon.

In Maxthon's 2.5.12 interim version, when a tab crashes, the browser displays this message: http://blog.maxthon.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/73.jpg For other changes made in interim version 2.5.12, download the change log at http://www.maxthon.com/changelog.htm .
