Telekom Austria selects Kapsch CarrierCom to integrate Openet Policy ManagerApr 02, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) -- European telecoms provider Telekom Austria Group has selected system integrator Kapsch CarrierCom to integrate the Openet Policy Manager across six operating companies in Eastern Europe, Openet announced on Monday. No financial details were disclosed. According to the company, the deal was primed by Kapsch and the company will serve as the system integrator and provide regional complementary services and support for the solution. The six network operators in Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Belarus, Serbia and Slovenia will benefit from spam attack detection and flexible bill shock prevention, as well as the implementation of requirements related to roaming regulation. The deployment of Openet's Policy Manager product will go live in 2012 and enable approximately 19m mobile subscribers to benefit from enriched services that will enhance customer experience. The implementation will require the Openet Policy Manager to deeply integrate with the mobile packet core nodes, which is a key area of expertise for Kapsch.
