(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 26 August 2014 Release date- 25082014 - Brea, California -Moxa is pleased to announce the launch the DA-820 series of Quad core i7 high performance rackmount computers.

The DA-820 rackmount embedded computers are the world's first native PRP/HSR management servers that provide bumpless redundancy, enabling efficient, visualized PRP/HSR network management.

Multi-Function Substation Computer The DA-820's main operating system runs on the lntel Quad core i7-3612QE CPU and QM77 chipset, which supports standard X86, VGA x 2, USB, 2 Gigabit LAN ports, and 2 RS-232/422/485 3-in-1 serial ports. The DA-820 is equipped with a 4 SATA disk interface and by default supports RAID 0/1/5/10 functionality. In addition, the DA-820 is specifically designed for substation applications that require precise time synchronization and compliance with IEC 61850-3 standards. The DA-820's flexible design makes it suitable for local SCADA, environmental monitoring, video surveillance, protocol conversion, and PRP/HSR redundancy applications. In addition, the DA-820's cyber security function it an ideal solution for enabling secure network communications.

Benefits of Moxa's DA-820 Rackmount Computer Minimize Error Probability Highly reliable redundant design: Dual power, RAID 0/1/5/10, and PRP/HSR technology Patented fanless thermal design IEC 61850-3 certified (Temperature Class C3 and EMC level 4) Detect Errors Faster PRP/HSR monitoring and control intelligence SNMP-based self-health management Optimize Error Reparability OS Smart Recovery API handles system crashes automatically Solutions for PRP/HSR Substations: Enabling a Scalable and Manageable PRP/HSR Infrastructure In addition to the DA-820 native PRP/HSR computer, Moxa is also going to launch the PT-G503 PRP/HSR redundancy box (RedBox) in 2014 Q4, the world's first integrated PRP/HSR RedBox with Coupling & QuadBox. Moxa's PT-G503 RedBox and DA-820 native PRP/HSR management server allow your PRP/HSR substations to collect, analyze, and integrate raw data from various devices on one single management platform, enabling efficient and visualized PRP/HSR network management and making network diagnosis, troubleshooting, and device condition monitoring easier than ever.
