ADVA (News - Alert) Optical Networking has launched its new Syncjacksuite, designed specifically to deliver precise timing synchronization and testing assurance solutions across the wireless telecommunications space.
A recently released market research report on the wireless telecommunications carriers industry has posted continual growth, with subscriber numbers on the rise. According to findings, consumers are becoming increasingly dependent on cell phones for voice and messaging services, which is leading to a surge in demand for wireless telecommunications carriers.
Christoph Glingener, CTO at ADVA Optical Networking (News - Alert) said that Syncjack is the “missing piece” for mobile operators migrating to 4G networks as it provides in-depth understanding on the performance of the timing network.
“Moreover, it also offers automated test and measurement capabilities that reduce wireless telecommunications operational complexity,” Glingener said in a press release.
This latest offering is fully integrated into the FSP 150, which enables users to deliver MEF (News - Alert)-certified Carrier Ethernet services with carrier-class performance, scalability and resiliency.
Syncjack offers in a single, integrated platform a complete solution for mobile backhaul networks, which includes the delivery and end-to-end quality assurance of timing information.
Additionally, the offering comes complete with SyncE and IEEE (News - Alert) 1588v2 functionality, which help to power accurate delivery of timing information across any network. Moreover, thanks to an extensive set of tools, wireless telecommunications operators can display the synchronization network topology, continuously monitor and test the quality of the delivered timing information, and more.
Recently, ADVA Optical Networking revealed that the Municipality of Cape Town has deployed the FSP 3000 within a not-for-profit municipally-owned network that aims to bring new levels of data connectivity to the area.
