MobiZone Holdings Limited, a digital entertainment provider that delivers last-mile connectivity to Internet cafés across China via its proprietary MoqiZone WiMAX (News - Alert) Network, has successfully established its first wireless broadband base station in Suzhou.

This is the first commercial usage of a 3.5G WiMAX base station in China (3.5G WiMAX often refers to spectrum ranging from 3.3GHz - 3.8 GHz).

Company officials said that the Suzhou WiMAX base station installation is the first step in the build-out of a private network for Internet cafés to access MoqiZone games on its flagship B2C online game portal www.53mq.com.

53mq.com is a digital entertainment delivery platform that delivers online content and games to Internet Cafes in China via the proprietary MoqiZone WiMAX Network.

“The MoqiZone online game joint promotion business model has demonstrated how MoqiZone provides internet café operators with real cash benefits based on game card revenue sharing. Our internet café business will no longer be harmed by the price war of game card distributors,” said a Suzhou Golden Apple (News - Alert) Internet café representative, in a statement. “Internet café operators are now able to offer online game promotions to the end users and now we are guaranteed to have a share in it.”.

Through the MoqiZone Network, MoqiZone provides Internet café operators transparent with revenue sharing based on the consumption of online game players in the Internet café.
In July MoqiZone announced that it awarded a contract to Axxcelera Broadband Wireless Inc. to supply the WiMAX Base stations and CPEs for its proprietary MoqiZone Wireless Broadband Network in China.

Axxcelera Broadband (News - Alert) Wireless is a data networking company that develops technology for the deployment of broadband wireless communications. Axxcelera’s fixed wireless broadband platforms bridge the last mile, replacing the local loop for residential, corporate branch office and small business subscribers.
