MTI Wireless Edge Unveils Low Cost 4.9-6.0 GHz Dual Polarity Two Feet Parabolic Dish Antenna

Israel-based MTI Wireless Edge Ltd., a developer of high quality cost effective antenna solutions for WiMAX (News - Alert), fixed wireless and RFID applications, has unveiled a new low cost 4.9-6.0 GHz 29dBi dual polarity two feet parabolic dish antenna.
 
Company officials with MTI (News - Alert) said in a press release that the company unveiled the new parabolic dish antenna as part of a new product line. The new product line encompasses of low cost dual polarity directional antennas covering the 5.15-5.9 GHz WiMAX, ISM and UNII unlicensed frequency bands as well as the 4.9-5.1GHz Homeland Security and Public Safety bands for both point-to-point and point–to-multipoint applications. The range also includes 16-23dBi flat panel directional antennas.
 
According to a press release, the new dual polarity 4.9-6.0GHz directional antennas encompass a low cost 29dBi parabolic dish. It also has a selection of different gain flat panel antennas such as 16, 18, 20, 23 dBi.
 
The new 4.9-6.0GHz directional antennas are ideal for high performance high throughput wireless systems in the public safety, WiMAX and ISM/UNII bands.
 
According to the release, the new antennas will join the current 4.9-6.0GHz product line, which already includes single and dual polarity directional antennas for the subscriber end with different gains and base station antennas such as 60 and 90 degrees with dual linear Vertical & Horizontal polarity as well as dual slant -45 and +45 degrees.
 
Company officials said that the company’s 4.9-6.0 GHz range of antennas will provide a powerful solution that will enable the company to offer broadband wireless telecommunication equipment companies, VAR’s and integrators with best antenna available at an unmatched price performance ratio.
 
Dov Feiner, CEO & president, MTI Wireless Edge (News - Alert) Ltd., said, "We are very excited with our new high quality low cost 2 feet parabolic dish antenna. This antenna and the other new additions to our portfolio will enable improvements in the system performance while reducing the costs."
 
According to MTI, all the new antennas are built to withstand the toughest electrical and environmental requirements according international standards such as ETSI (News - Alert) while maintaining low cost.
 
MTI’s flat panel antenna range includes base station, subscriber and Omni Directional antennas for all broad and narrow band WiMAX and broadband wireless applications in both licensed and unlicensed bands.
 
Some of the military products offered by MTI includes a wide range of broadband, tactical and specialized communications antennas, antenna systems and DF arrays installed on numerous airborne, ground and naval, including submarine, platforms worldwide.
 
In May, TMCnet reported that MTI showcased their smart antenna solutions at the UTC Telecom 2010. The showcased solutions are designed for utilities wireless telecom applications for Smart Grid.
