Aperto and Tranzeo Receive US$4.5M in Orders for WiMAX

British Columbia-based Tranzeo Wireless Technologies (News - Alert) Inc. is a manufacturer of wireless broadband and WiMAX communication systems in partnership with Aperto Networks, Inc. has received multiple purchase orders totaling US$4.5M for WiMAX (News - Alert) equipment. The orders support deployments in India, Europe and the United States.

The new purchase orders increases Aperto's backlog to US$12.8M. When added with Tranzeo's current backlog of US$32.7M, if integrated, the two companies will have a combined backlog valued at US$45.5M. Tranzeo and Aperto announced the signing of a definitive merger agreement recently. The merger is expected to be complete in mid-April at which time Aperto will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tranzeo.
