Winncom Enhances Portfolio of Wireless Network Solutions with WLAN Products

Winncom Technologies a value-added distributor of telecommunication products and solutions announced that it has added wireless LAN or WLAN, AirDefense (News - Alert) wireless security, management and assurance, and Private Broadband Network solutions to its portfolio of wireless network solutions from Motorola.
These products are in addition to Motorola’s Orthogon point-to-point, Canopy point-to-multipoint, WiMAX (News - Alert) and Motomesh Mesh wide area network systems available in its portfolio of solutions. This makes available more options within its mobile network solutions, said company sources.
The growing demand for reliable WLAN applications ranging from small-scale business and security deployments to large-scale education, healthcare, or even city-wide networks necessitates secure wireless networking products. Winncom’s (News - Alert) solutions combined with Motorola’s products are capable of offering Winncom resellers and end-users with optimized networking products.
Gregory Raskin, President and CEO of Winncom Technologies said, “Motorola (News - Alert) is a leading vendor in the WLAN space, most notably the retail sector. Winncom will be in a position to offer Motorola products based on complete enterprise mobility solutions, wireless LAN intrusion prevention and management solutions acccording to the agreement. The products will also include long-range Ethernet-over-copper solutions for hospitality and campus networks, added Winncom sources.
