2010 LG U.S. National Texting Championship Announced

LG Mobile Phones is challenging people all over the nation to participate in an “ultimate text messaging challenge” -- the 2010 LG U.S. National Texting Championship.
This is intended find the person with best text messaging speed. The winners will be awarded with a cash prize of $100,000 and a tour of New York City.
Only those with exceptional perfectionism and outstanding pace have the chance to be the 2010 Texting Champion. Also, the winner of 2010 can participate in the first-ever LG Text for Good Challenge.
There will be a powerful game play for three days. The fourth annual LG U.S. National Texting Championship will analyze the texting speed, accuracy and dexterity of all participants via various thumb numbing challenges. Competitors will be asked to type phrases on their LG handsets in the exact way as they appear on LG plasma screens. At the same instance, participants will be troubled by blind folds, complex phrases and marathon game play. The final four contestants will be competing in the middle of September in New York City. Finally, one contestant will be the winner of the LG U.S. National Texting Champion.
To participate in the competition, there are some preliminary texting competitions that include:
LG Texting Battle: Spots are being broadcasted during hit shows on MTV. Those who want to participate have to text game-play phrases to designated short codes. The instructions will be provided by Kate Moore who was the winner in 2009 and going to compete in 2010
Text Attack Weekly Tournaments: Each Thursday, people can join weekly tournaments on Facebook (News - Alert) by logging-on to the “LG Texter” fan page and choose the Play + Win! tab. Ten texters with the best speed in each tournament can reach the Online Finals
Bamboozle Text Battle: Those who go to concert at the Bamboozle Roadshow get two chances to be eligible for the Online Finals at each show with on-site texting challenges broadcast through LED screens.
Wild Card Weeks: During selected weeks, Wild Card participants will get a text with a short phrase and the one who replies first with the exact will qualify for the Online Finals.
