NextGen Innovation Labs, a spinoff of United Commtel, has announced Mobi-Xperience QoS, described by company officials as a suite to “give mobile operators as well as handset and network equipment OEMs insights into the customer experience.”
The product, company officials say, “addresses one of mobile operators’ top priorities: ensuring the user experience across voice, data and media-rich services to attract and retain consumer and enterprise customers.”
The suite focuses on four primary areas of customer experience information: consumer-centric network optimization to address network capacity, reliability and coverage; radio network benchmarking for service quality assurance; consumer surveying and analytics for real-time quality of service data and customer care to offer problem resolution for premium-billing customers.
Last month TMC’ (News - Alert) s Madhubanti Rudra reported that mobile operator Mobily forged a partnership with Bridgewater Systems (News - Alert), a mobile personalization services provider, to manage its smart networks, applications and subscriber policies across the Middle East.
“On implementation,” Rudra wrote, “the product will enable the company to authenticate and authorize subscribers and provide accounting functions.”
According to Sanjay Ambekar, senior vice president of Xperience Delivery, traditionally operator benchmarking has been conducted with extensive drive testing with specialized data collection equipment “that may not reflect the actual experience of commercial handsets and does not capture indoor usage.” Now, operators and independent benchmark companies can capture the end
Generally available now, the Mobi-Xperience? QoS suite is currently in trial with various customers globally, including a Tier-1 U.S. operator.
In February TMCnet reported that Bridgewater Systems announced a Radio Access Network congestion product that extends the Bridgewater Policy Controller with a new RAN Congestion module.
The end result is a combination that addresses real-time cell site congestion information with subscriber entitlements to deliver enhanced services, said the mobile personalization services provider.
