In June, Bridgewater announced that it joined the Cisco Developer Network as a preferred solution developer within the mobile packet core technology category as well as the availability of the Bridgewater Policy Controller and Home Subscriber Server on the Cisco Unified Computing System.

In October, the mobile personalization company announcedthat Russian wireless broadband Internet provider Yota had selected Bridgewater Service Controller to support the rollout of that company’s national Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access or “WiMAX (News - Alert) service in Nicaragua.

More recently, Bridgewater Systems signed a new four-year agreement with Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless. Under their contract, Bridgewater will provide products and services for Verizon Wireless’ network expansion. The agreement between the two companies was valued at approximately $56 million.
