Verizon Wireless recently announced the availability of the Small Business Advisor, a free, interactive tool that has been designed to make it easy for SMB customers to easily find and deploy mobile solutions that can help businesses give their productivity a boost, secure information and effectively expand their operations via optimized wireless technology solutions.

"The Small Business Advisor is a key part of our SMB approach, helping our customers better determine the right applications for their business and get the most from their mobile devices,” Michael Schaefer, executive director, Wireless Business Solutions, Verizon Wireless, said. “No matter what vertical our SMB customers are in, they all tell us they want the best tools to differentiate their business, expedite workflow, and save time and money. We are continually refining and delivering the best suite of tools to help our customers manage their business interests."

Verizon’s Small Business Advisor tool has been designed to assume the role of an electronic consultant, which will enable savings for the SMB owner or entrepreneur. At present, there are multiple mobile applications available in the market from different vendors which include the Android, iOS, and BlackBerry and Windows platforms. The tool makes it easy for an SMB owner to identify a platform that is optimized for addressing the needs of his business in a way that has overlapping benefits across the business structure, according to officals. Small Business Advisor guides the user to find apps for improving efficiency in critical areas of customer interaction, office administration, and travel and for video.

Designed with a wizard, the tool can be leveraged to find apps and accessories via a round of quick questions regarding the industry, operating system used in the mobile device, required mobile tasks in addition to specific business requirements. The wizard computes this information to quickly analyze and subsequently offer the user with a profile of apps and accessories which are relevant and can be easily downloaded or purchased via a QR code.
