Clearwire Offers Smith Micro's QuickLink Mobile Solutions for Easy Connectivity

Clearwire, a leading provider of 4G wireless broadband across the United States, is now offering Smith Micro Software's Quicklink Mobile Connection Management through its wholesale division. The company is using the systems to improve connectivity and customer service.

The Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) offers new services and features, thanks to Quicklink Mobile. Using MVNO customers can connect automatically to the strongest and most cost-efficient network from any mobile device. This includes 4G broadband when available. The first companies to offer the service include Locus Telecommunications and NetZero Wireless. Customers already can take advantage of this service.

Not only can customers connect quickly to the cheapest broadband, but MVNO also works as a security device. The service can detect the safest networks to protect your information. Aside from connectivity and protection, Quicklink offers the easiest management solutions as well. Customers can manage profiles, devices VPNs and additional features.

Customers can expect Quicklink to offer a standard experience across all platforms. This means they don't have to learn different techniques to operate the system on new or different platforms. The installation process is common to any apps on mobile devices as well. The main goal of this system is to be user-friendly. This is also shown through the customizable options and integration of existing applications.

Clearwater is pleased with the services thus far from the Quicklink system, so it is pleased to share the service through wholesale. “Smith Micro’s QuickLink Mobile connection manager has served Clearwire customers reliably and we are pleased to extend this product to our wholesale partners for use in their 4G service offerings,” said Rick Hausman, vice president of wholesale operations at Clearwire, via a press release. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with Smith Micro as we add new focus to growing our 4G wholesale business.”
