New technology can prove to be extremely valuable for a company’s long-term growth. For Redknee, a provider of business-critical billing and charging software and solutions for communications service providers, the expansion of LTE networks throughout the continent has driven the growth of its Tier 1 business.
The company has inked a number of new solution upgrade deals with its customers throughout North America, helping the Tier 1 business’ income grow by a multi-million-dollar figure.
The Tier 1 business offers solutions that aim to help communication service providers (CSP) manage customer experience and monetize their LTE 4G services through new business models.
According to data from Informa Telecoms & Media, the North American market accounts for 71 percent of global LTE subscriptions, while In-Stat projects that the market will grow by 3,400 percent through 2015.
Redknee claims its Tier 1 solutions offer cost and performance benefits to CSPs which may be looking to cut down their subscriber data, while reducing time-to-market for deployments and customer care costs. The solutions also aim to provide a boost in scalability and profits for CSPs.
Redknee also says its solutions provide CSPs with the ability to monetize increased data traffic and support key functions such as E911. Redknee also supports features such as location-based services.
The company claims that its solutions can be scaled to 250 million customers.

The firm recently teamed with Tech Mahindra to launch a Telco-in-a-Box solution.
