All facets of the mobile broadband ecosystem on display October 3-5 in Austin
NORWALK, CT – May 30, 2012 -- 4G LTE, BYOD, Wi-Fi and wireless backhaul innovations will take center stage, as TMC and Crossfire Media today announced the agenda for the Mobility Tech Conference & Expo, to be held October 3-5 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas. The Mobility Tech Conference & Expo is collocated with ITEXPO, the world’s largest and best-attended communications and technology trade show.
As wireless technologies, applications and services continue their explosive growth, the Mobility Tech Conference & Expo explores how carriers, service providers, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and others, will meet this unprecedented demand for mobile broadband services. Like wireline, mobile Internet devices are going to connect wirelessly using any network available. The key to profitability is balancing 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi growth with existing alternatives.
“Users are no longer content to be tethered to a wireline connection as they travel from the road, to office to home,” said Rich Tehrani, TMC CEO and Conference Chairman. “Their network connection is no longer specific, but rather depends on their location and need. Mobility Tech is focused on addressing the myriad opportunities and challenges facing providers as they seek to deliver services to exploit a thriving wireless marketplace."
Mobility Tech Conference & Expo delivers more than 20 information-packed sessions that will explore the opportunities and challenges in dealing with this intense demand for wireless apps, the next cool mobile device, social apps, video on the go, and more.
Speakers include industry visionaries such as Stuart Elby, vice president, Network Architecture and Enterprise Technology for Verizon Wireless, who will look at Wireless Network Enablers at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4.
Hossein Eslambolchi, Ph.D, CEO of 2020 Venture Partners and former CEO of AT&T, will discuss Mobility and the Cloud at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4.
“Moving up the Stack with Wireless, themes explored in our previous 4GWE Conferences are being paired with Wi-Fi and Bring your own Device themes,” said Carl Ford, co-founder of Crossfire Media and VP of content for Mobility Tech Conference & Expo. “This is the event that takes you from the device in your hand, that is driving data demand, to the blockage in the backhaul that is resulting from the demand. Finding the network that supports the needs of the consumer is the discussion that we are facilitating in Austin.”
Additional sessions, featuring speakers from AT&T, 4gAmericas, Verizon, mobicents, Google, Dialogic, Xirrus, Inc., Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei and netBlazr.com, include:
- Making the Most with Spectrum at our Hands
- Developing the Ecosystem for Service Innovation
- All Roads Lead to LTE
- You’ve Heard of VoLTE… How about Voice over HSPA?
- Understanding Solutions for Next Generation 9-1-1
- Passpoint Making Wi-Fi SIMulating
- Making a Rich Mix of Spectrum
- And more.
Attendees can also join Carl Ford, co-founder of Crossfire Media and VP of Content for Mobility Tech Conference & Expo, as he leads a special exhibit hall tour on Thursday, October 4, from 11:00 a.m.-noon.
