Samsung Might Blow Apple's iPhone Out of the Water

Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd just got a little more aggressive with its new Galaxy S III phone, and it seems like Apple, Inc. and Nokia are both having a run for their money as the global market begins to belong to the South Korean consumer electronics behemoth. The unbelievable demand for Galaxy S II and S III phones pretty much spells victory for Samsung as its market share is pushing its lead above Apple even further.

Reuters has observed that the new aggressive marketing campaigns that Samsung is pushing on its Galaxy S III phones are starting to pay back as demand begins to soar.

In case you aren't up to snuff on Samsung and Apple, both companies have been keeping each other at a stranglehold. Apple sued Samsung for patent infringement on its tablets and court battles have appeared all over the world since last year. This shows that Apple is starting to feel a little threatened by the rising rockstar of the mobile market. Samsung's launch in May of its new phone is starting to show signs of pushing the iPhone aside, according to 41 analysts.

They say that Samsung might have sold over 50 million smartphones in this quarter alone. Put this data against Apple's, and you can see now how the iPhone maker is in trouble. With 30.5 million iPhone sales, you can't say that it's an even match.

IDC analyst, Fransisco Jeronimo says that "Samsung is expected to be the smartphone hero in the second quarter."

He continues, "We are also expecting to see the biggest smartphone volumes ever shipped from one single vendor in one quarter, driven by strong demand of the Galaxy portfolio, particularly the Galaxy S II and S III."

Let's also not forget the fact that some vendors in the Asia-Pacific region are beginning to rise, such as ZTE and Huawei. Some of their stuff might become more visible in store shelves in the future!
