Comguard Expands Portfolio to Include Wireless Options

It’s a big week for Comguard, as the company announced that it is expanding its portfolio while landing a distribution deal with Delphix.

A recent survey from the Enterprise Strategy Group found that 51-percent of enterprises are concerned about data growth and data size. Jayadevan K, senior vice president, Value Business at Comguard, said that Comguard’s new distribution deal with Delphix is intended to offer a confident and secure solution for those enterprises in the Middle East.

“The biggest challenge today is controlling the explosion of data growth. Delphix redefines virtualization for enterprises through the creation of a new virtualization layer for data. Comguard in association with Delphix will provide enterprises in the region a comprehensive database virtualization that can cut the cost of data management by 90 percent,” he said.

The news of the distribution comes just days after Comguard announced major changes with its ever-growing portfolio. Comguard has linked up with Mero Networks, AirLIVE, TP Link, Altai Technologies, AirTight Networks and Cambium Networks to offer outdoor P2P, P2PM, indoor wireless, 3G offloading and CCTV surveillance across the Middle East. The new division of Comguard is known as “Comguard Wireless” and will focus on Carrier Ethernet IP Services, enterprise wireless, private campus networks, municipal and government services and security systems.

“Wireless is the future of technology and we wish to play an important role in this segment as we did successfully in IT security marketplace. We intend to create a healthy channel for our wireless networking products in the MENA region, and provide our constant support to the channel with design, presales and implementation support,” Jayadevan K said in a press release.

The goal of Comguard is to implement these changes through recruiting sales and offering technical training across the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. In the future, the company plans to expand to India.
