deets Inc. is meeting a worldwide need with its latest release, a universal group communications and collaboration app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. The application allows users to synchronize information across all contacts and create segmented relationship groups and manage mobile communications from one single dashboard.
deets operates from both Los Olivos, Calif., and Westport, Conn., providing mobile technology solutions for collaboration and communications and is the parent company behind a number of successful internet companies such as Priceline and Hotwire. Its latest release appears to be a flagship offering since it takes the firm's name, deets.
Deets is intended to streamline a complex communication world by giving its users a single location from which to send outbound communication. While there have been other attempts at a universal inbox, deets represents a unique spin on mobile communication in that it incorporates everything from social media, email and voicemail - all with push notifications.
"I don't think I'm alone in juggling—for better and for worse—a ton of different people, projects and relationships. What's the latest? What does the deets team need from me? Is the soccer game cancelled? What's the plan for our group dinner tonight?" said Linda Miller, CEO of deets. "That clear need is why we created deets. Now I can organize everyone in my life into relevant and efficient conversation groups. It means less time looking at my phone and more time for the people and activities I care about."
Deets is presently only available on iOS devices. Though the dashboard is available through a browser of the mobile or desktop variety, no word on whether the company plans to expand to Android.
