Vodafone's Incubator Nurtures Tech Companies

Only one short year after Vodafone Group R & D launched Vodafone xone, the company announced it has worked tirelessly to support the launch of Quixey and Naratte, both of which will be available on the commercial market later this year.

This is just the latest in what has been a very busy year for Vodafone. The company played a leading role in advising ExpertMaker, a telecom company that was awarded with a SPIFFY, about the importance of the mobile technology industry, as well as how to use software to manage big data.

Vodafone was also nominated for a SPIFFY due to its support and responsiveness to promising startups in the Silicon Valley. The company uses its internal resources and partners to support startup projects and while simultaneously availing expertise and staff members. 

Vodafone’s work has now breached U.S. borders and currently supports startups in Italy and Egypt as well.

Presently, Vodafone xone is establishing a mobile platform in small cell solutions, artificial intelligence, search, smart charging, ticketing, m-health and couponing. Naratte and Quixey are running the trials and testing on European networks. Quixey in particular has benefited from Vodafone, since the company has been able to present itself as a serious player in the mobile space.  

Without the support from Vodafone, this likely would not have been the case.

It’s been speculated that the success of the Vodafone xone program is attributable to chief development officer Byron Alsberg, who has established an innovative culture within the company that focuses on enhanced development and growth. 

Vodafone xone provides business advice and leads the field in testing, engineering support, deployment assistance, customer electronics, smart charging and automotive technologies.
