Sprint Assists to Generate New Revenue Streams and Enhance User Experience

Today, Sprint Global Wholesale & Emerging Solutions introduces a new solution known as Mobile Broadband on Demand. By assisting to generate new revenue streams, this solution also allows companies in the international, retail, travel and hospitality industries to enhance the end user’s experience through the sale or rental of mobile broadband devices, such as hotspots, air-cards and tablets, on Sprint’s trusted 3G and 4G (WiMAX) networks.

To launch this new turnkey product, previous wireless experience or wireless support systems are not required by the Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). “All over the world, Internet users continue to demand more data products and services. We provide this turnkey mobile broadband solution to enable our MVNOs to easily extend their brand to the mobile data space while driving incremental revenue,” said Ben Vos, VP, Wholesale Operations, Sprint.

The MVNO chooses the data plans and these can be limited by the amount of data used or the number of days. The MVNO can also make access to its commercial website free to the customer, provide sponsored browsing, or create specialty plan types such as social media and premium access.

Customers are re-directed back to the Web portal to purchase more service when they run out of time or data. In order to track real- time data usage and receive alerts, subscribers have access to a downloadable data meter mobile application. The data on mobile hotspots is sharable for up to five concurrent devices in the rental model and there are no device costs for the end-user.

Loyalty rewards can also be earned by end-users. To easily manage the devices, there is also an administration Web portal for the MVNO.
