The United Kingdom’s aviation authority has chosen Good Technology to improve staff productivity and efficiency by giving employees and mobile workers access to mail, contacts and calendars safely and securely while on the go.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a specialist aviation regulator in the UK, chose Good for Enterprise, a Good Technology product, after extensive review for the best product to help CAA’s growing mobile workers.
“Organizations like the CAA need staff to access information quickly and securely,” said Andrew Jacques, the GM of International Business at Good Technology. “This means giving remote workers easy access to the right information, whilst keeping it secure. “…[T]he CAA is confident in our ability to support its far-reaching mobile working strategy.”
The CAA is now rolling out Good for Enterprise for its staff. As of now staff will be either using their personal or work-lent mobile devices with Good for Enterprise. The software will be installed on Android smartphones, iPads and iPhones. Good for Enterprise easily works across most platforms and operating systems.
“At the start of this process, our aim was to satisfy employees demand for use of newer devices by moving away from Blackberry, reduce our overall cost of ownership and increase functionality while not compromising security,” Darryl Sampson said, CAA’s Head of Infrastructure. The implementation of Good for Enterprise will allow a third of CAA’s 1,000 employees work remotely at job sites and outside their seven locations throughout the UK.
Good for Enterprise allows users to use a simple interface to handle work outside of private corporate networks while allowing data integrity and security. As it can be installed on all sorts of devices, including a worker’s personal mobile platform, while it helps save cost for the company.
