Bradford Network, FireEye Integrate to Enhance Security for BYOD Companies

Bradford Networks and cyber threat solution provider FireEye, Inc. have revealed that they will integrate their services in an effort to provide organizations implementing the bring-your-own-device platform with enhanced security.

Through combining Bradford Networks' network access control solution, which identifies and profiles all devices and users on a network, with FireEye's platform, which can detect and stop cyber attacks, companies will be less prone to becoming victims of zero-day attacks and APT attacks. These types of attacks can't be combated through traditional defense mechanisms and can infect more than 95 percent of networks.

The integration will enable an automated and rapid response to a cyber threat, the automatic removal or isolation of non-compliant or infected devices from the production network and the ability to discover all infected devices and enforce security access policies based on user and device profiles.

"BYOD can greatly increase productivity, reduce costs, and drive employee satisfaction, but with it comes additional security risks," Manish Gupta, senior vice president of products at FireEye, said in a statement. "The combination of Bradford Networks' solution and the FireEye platform will greatly increase an organization's ability to deal with the risks introduced to the network by endpoints that have been compromised by today's new breed of cyber attacks. The FireEye integration with Bradford is indicative of our commitment to continually serving the evolving needs of today's businesses as they embrace new security technologies for efficiency and collaboration."

Bradford Networks looks forward to developing a BYOD security solution with FireEye.

"We are very pleased to integrate with FireEye to jointly deliver a comprehensive security solution that addresses the Web threat vectors on mobile devices," Vincent Ma, vice president of business development of Bradford Networks, said in a statement. "This partnership with FireEye adds another key industry player to our BYOD technology ecosystem, which combines the benefits of mobility, security, and MDM solutions with NAC to address customers' unique BYOD strategies."
