TESSCO and BLiNQ Team Up for X-100 System

TESSCO Technologies, a provider of the product and value chain solutions to organizations responsible for building, operating and maintaining wireless broadband systems, has teamed up with BLiNQ Networks, a provider of wireless small cell backhaul solutions, to announce their point-to-multipoint (X-100) wireless system’s FCC-approval.

"TESSCO is pleased to be partnering with BLiNQ Networks to distribute their X-100 wireless system with TrueNLOS capability," TESSCO Vice President Bill Moten said. "This licensed wireless product provides a unique solution for organizations that build wireless networks and those that require broadband access. More importantly, it extends our commitment of offering the most comprehensive selection of outdoor and indoor wireless broadband radios for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, mesh or SCADA applications."

X-100 is a self-configuring system using interference management technology to maximize capacity and reliability of wireless backhaul and access in true non-line-of-sight conditions.  Supporting unrestricted mode operation, X-100 can operate over 50MHz of 3.65GHz spectrum, a landmark development.

With increasing video and data demands, encroaching capacity limits and narrowing bandwidths, mobile and enterprise users can track and provide service where it’s needed to address these demands, thus reducing expense and time as compared to traditional solutions.

"We are very excited and look forward to partnering with TESSCO in the U.S. market," said Mickey Miller, CEO and president of BLiNQ Networks. "TESSCO's strong reputation and broad presence in the North American telecommunications market will serve BLiNQ well as we enter this market with the X-100 and future wireless products."

By targeting the growing service-providers markets, i.e. healthcare, energy, government and other private enterprises, TESSCO and BLiNQ are placed advantageously to capture a significant share of the projected $5 billion outdoor small cell backhaul opportunity.

According to the agreement, TESSCO will be the distributor of BLiNQ systems in North America.
