3CX Launches New On-Premise Mobile Device Management Solution

3CX, a developer of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) phone systems and mobile device management (MDM) solutions, announced the launch of a new on-premise MDM solution for businesses adopting the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) trend.

The new on-premise edition of 3CX Mobile Device Manager for Windows Server allows businesses to retain full control of their mobile devices and location tracking data in a private cloud or on premise without additional administration overhead.

On-premise MDM solutions have been traditionally expensive to purchase and difficult to deploy and manage. However 3CX Mobile Device Manager differentiates itself from these solutions as it is affordable and easier to deploy and manage.

Most of the currently available solutions are either optimized for hosted and thus difficult to install. They also demand Linux knowledge or are prohibitively expensive. Some vendors only offer cloud solutions which drastically hinders businesses looking to retain control of their mobile data.

3CX Mobile Device Manager, according to 3CX, offers an on-premise MDM deployment option that is affordable and easier to deploy.

“The 3CX Mobile Device Manager On-Premise edition provides businesses with an inexpensive and easy to manage solution,” said Nick Galea, 3CX CEO, in a statement. “3CX Mobile Device Manager allows businesses to fully retain control of their data without the complexity and headache that other mobile device management solutions pose.”

Many enterprises today are also required to adhere with HIPAA or SEC. Mobile device management solutions from 3CX are designed to address these demands. By offering private cloud, on premise or hosted models, 3CX allows them to choose the best solution as per their requirements.

3CX develops 3CX Phone System and 3CX Mobile Device Manager. 3CX Phone System is an open standard unified communications platform for Windows that works with standard SIP phones and replaces any proprietary PBX.
