FL Mobile Announces 'The Condor Heroes' for iOS

When it comes to the evolution of mobile gaming, one area that is getting quite a bit more attention is that of MMORPG. Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing games were something that was largely ignored when the iPad and other tablets first hit the market. But now that gaming companies understand that tablets are here to stay as a gaming device, more companies are putting together MMORPGs that are specifically designed for the iPad and other mobile devices. Along those lines, NQ Mobile recently announced that its subsidiary FL Mobile will be releasing the much anticipated MMORPG “The Condor’s Heroes” for iOS.

"Perfect World's decision to use FL Mobile to publish this important franchise on the iOS platform affirms our expertise in operating and ultimately monetizing important titles through our platform," said Tony Ni, founder and CEO of FL Mobile, in a recent statement. "We will continue to grow our user base and to enhance the user experience with added content like ‘The Condor Heroes’ in China and around the world as we expand internationally."

FL Mobile has a rather large following, with more than 16 million active users. The company says that it has a good download rate of more than 10 million per month. The company also seems to have carved out a niche with the production of several different MMORPG games over the last few months. This is just one company that seems to understand how big mobile gaming has become in such a short period of time.

Forging a partnership with game designer Perfect World is only going to help NQ Mobile and FL Mobile to gain some serious ground in a genre that is still largely dominated by independent companies. While EA and the like will dip their toes in MMORPG, there is still plenty of room for some of the smaller companies to make a mark.
