FPC Collects a New Smartphone DW from Prominent OEM Customer

Smartphones are everywhere – you see them in the hands of almost every American over the age of ten. It’s more than just a phenomenon in this day and age – if you don’t have a smartphone, life seems to be a bit crippled. That’s why it’s such a huge deal that recently, FPC sealed a deal with a major Asian company that promises the development and release of a new smartphone from a leading U.S. company as soon as the beginning of 2014.

Fingerprint Cards’ (FPC) swipe sensor technology was recently awarded another Design Win (DW) from an already existing Asian OEM customer for a new developing smartphone to be released in by a prominent US operator in 2014. FPC is a company that develops and produces biometric components and technologies that analyze and match fingerprints to verify consumer identity. The technology that FPC offers provides many advantages, such as image quality, extreme robustness, low power consumption, and complete biometric systems. With the help of these features and advantages, along with the ability to achieve extremely low manufacturing costs, FPC’s technology can be installed in hugely popular products like smart cards and mobile phones – things that place a lot of demand on these characteristics. FPC technology can also be used in IT and Internet security as well as access control, etc.

FPC has previously been awarded multiple DWs in Japan, China, and Korea and is very proud to announce this recent development. This follow-up DW is from one of the most distinguished Asian customers and is up for launch with a major US operator. They wish to remain anonymous because of the importance of this deal, but this DW is quite a milestone for the FPC company. In a world dominated by smartphones, the release of this new innovation attached to so many prominent names is a huge development.
