MOBI Wireless Partners with Tech Data Corporation to Expand Mobility Services

In an effort to develop new markets for its managed mobility services, MOBI Wireless Management has partnered with Tech Data Corporation to distribute its mobility solutions via the company’s TDMobility unit.

The partnership will expand the reach of MOBI’s mobility services while enabling Tech Data to offer simpler, more multifaceted wireless solutions to its customers. Tech Data is a wholesale distributor of technology products, services and solutions with 120,000 resellers in more than 100 countries.

“Mobility is becoming more complex, creating new challenges for businesses to increase control and visibility in their programs over the device and services procurement processes, program expenses, BYOD and program data analysis,” explained Heather Murray, director, sales and marketing, TDMobility at Tech Data. “This partnership with MOBI allows us to offer another unique line of services and solutions to meet the evolving mobility needs of organizations in all market segments.”

In addition to MOBI's services, TDMobility also offers mobile device management implementation and administrative services; migration services; bring-your-own-device evaluation, deployment and ongoing support; and financial analysis and saving recommendations on wireless service spend.

MOBI, on the other hand, benefits from access to Tech Data’s extensive client list in industries that the company does not currently service.

“Through our partnership with Tech Data, MOBI can now offer our managed mobility services and professional service solutions to client segments we currently do not reach,” said Mitch Black, president at MOBI Wireless Management. “Companies of all sizes have been challenged with managing difficult processes inherent in a mobile ecosystem — from processing daily transactions to securing their corporate data and handling an influx of personally owned devices.”

The growth of mobility management services is set to expand rapidly over the next few years, from $500 million in 2013 to $3.4 billion by 2016, according to Gartner.
