AmeriSys Reveals Latest Development in Wireless Technologies

Among the many technologies demonstrated at this years ITEXPO Miami, what stands out among them all is the topic of “super Wi-Fi.” What is super Wi-Fi and why does it matter?

Coined by the FCC, super Wi-Fi refers to the wireless networking proposal which the FCC plans to use for the creation of longer-distance wireless Internet access. Some wireless providers point out it uses a different frequency for transmission than what most people use in cafes and in home networks, and uses “white spaces” or unused portions of the spectrum that is generally available for local television broadcasts.

This is a big deal in the communications space because this means businesses will have access to a bigger range than existing hotspots. Super Wi-Fi is being deployed in the United States and generating interest in a number of countries, including Britain and Brazil.

Companies like AmeriSys play a big role in the super Wi-Fi space, and as a representative in this year’s Super Wi-Fi and Shared Spectrum Summit at this year’s ITEXPO Miami, showcasing spectrum sharing and spectrum database products to illustrate interoperability between radios and various network designs.

AmeriSys currently supplies the US Army with specialized readers and cards, and is also a supplier for Canadian defense contracts.

Its hardware and firmware platforms offer efficient, streamlined and reliable operation with low operating costs, in addition to expert personnel.

Application fields include

  • Industrial Machinery Modernization
  • Process Improvement and Automation
  • Building Intelligence and Building Automation
  • Network Communications
  • Financial Transaction Control
