Cloud-based VoIP switching and billing specialist Telinta has made three enhancements to its MVNO solution. The company announced it has made significant improvements to its TeliSIM offering, which enables service providers to quickly and easily offer GSM mobile roaming services to their traveling customers.
The TeliSIM solution now features options for call forwarding, 3-in-1 sized SIM cards and multi-lingual short code messages, in addition to its original mobile voice, data and SMS features. The new short code messaging option lets customers perform a number of self-service tasks like checking prepaid balances by simply texting a few characters to the Telinta hosted platform. The new call forwarding option enables incoming calls to be forwarded either through a short code or via a self-care interface. Calls may also be forwarded based on the time of day or day of the week.
“When VoIP first became available, it was a revolutionary technology that disrupted the entire marketplace for global voice by offering a significantly lower cost alternative for service providers as well as end users,” said Alex Ferdman, CEO of Telinta. “Today, similar opportunities exist to apply the cost savings of VoIP to the highly profitable high-growth markets for GSM global roaming.”
Service providers also benefit from TeliSIM’s low cost roaming agreements with more than 600 mobile operators throughout the world. They can pass along the savings to their customers, including free roaming in more than 150 countries. The solution also features real-time CDRs and may be used to provide prepaid and postpaid mobile services. Service providers also have the option to use their own providers for DIDs as well as VoIP termination.
Additional features of the TeliSIM offering include the ability to provide traveling customers with local numbers virtually anywhere in the world. Customers may also make and receive calls without the need for access numbers or PINs as well as without Wi-Fi or mobile data.
The new 3-in-1 design feature simplifies use for customers and service providers alike, working easily with any GSM mobile phone regardless of SIM card size. TeliSIM is also a white label offering and may be branded by service providers and resellers.
