"Found" in Translation

Do you find it difficult to translate all different types of languages into others in an array of documents quickly?

Systran, a provider of machine translation software for desktop, enterprise server, Internet, and mobile applications, announced the release of its new software, SYSTRAN 8 Translator, to help.

Systran 8 is designed for individuals, freelancers and businesses that need to quickly translate all types of documents to better understand them. With this goal in the forefront of the developers’ minds, they created features for the software that the company says will alleviate the difficulties in translating a document from one language to another.

The new features include PDF document processing, which comes thanks to a technology agreement signed with I.R.I.S, an intelligent document recognition company. The software also integrates translation tools in web browsers and the OmniTranslator, which can be used to translate application menus or Excel cells. OmniTranslator changes text on the screen by hovering the mouse pointer over a specific element. Another software feature is the batch file translation. SYSTRAN 8 Translator also provides the ability to customize the translation by creating user dictionaries and translation memories to improve the accuracy of translations.

“Translation tools are now as essential on a PC as a word processor or a web browser,” said Yannick Douzant, Product & Market Strategy Director, SYSTRAN. “With SYSTRAN 8 Translator, we offer the ideal desktop companion to facilitate multilingual communication, with translations available in one click, offline, either in a dedicated app or thanks to plugins embedded in Office applications and browsers.”

This kind of technology is going to be key for overcoming challenges in multinational businesses. Because of this new software, companies can find new efficiencies and more productivity. It also takes away the concern of being lost in translation.
