LightSquared and EarthComm Solutions Announce Multi-Year Wholesale Agreement

LightSquared, the nation's first wholesale-only integrated 4G LTE wireless broadband and satellite network, has signed a multi-year wholesale agreement with EarthComm Solutions, an experienced communications service provider for businesses and consumers.

“At EarthComm Solutions, our mission is to provide the most affordable and advanced communications services available in the market to our customers,” said Russell McNorton, chief executive officer of EarthComm Solutions, in a press release.

“With LightSquared, we have found a superb wholesale 4G LTE network provider and we are very excited to enter this partnership.”

According to the terms of this agreement, Texas-based EarthComm Solutions will become a wholesale customer on LightSquared's 4G-LTE network, to offer high-speed mobile data, voice and satellite services to its existing as well as new customers, through its large and well-established network of distribution channels in small and mid-sized cities throughout the southwest United States and beyond. 

“EarthComm Solutions is an experienced service provider, and we look forward to providing this successful company the highest value 4G-LTE wholesale network service available to enable their innovative mobile broadband offerings,” said Sanjiv Ahuja, chairman and chief executive officer of LightSquared, in a press release.

LightSquared, with this agreement, will continue to foster competition and innovation and will enable EarthComm Solutions to deliver competitive wireless offerings through its established distribution network.

In related news, LightSquared outlined a comprehensive solution to the problem of interference with Global Positioning System receivers, which will permit LightSquared to proceed with its business plan, protect the public's stake in GPS and lay the foundation for the future co-existence of a variety of wireless broadband services and GPS.
