LightSquared and InterGlobe Communications, a business integrated service provider primarily serving the New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania region, have entered into a multi-year wholesale agreement.
As part of this pact, InterGlobe, a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) with nearly 20 years of experience, will become a wholesale customer on LightSquared's 4G-LTE network.
Officials with LightSquared said that InterGlobe will add high-speed mobile data and satellite services to its range of business communications solutions that include VoIP, high-speed Internet, video teleconferencing and IP telephony services offered to its growing number of business clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
"The partnership with LightSquared helps fulfill our commitment to provide customized solutions that are tailored to the very demanding needs of our clients," said Al Mayerhoff, president of InterGlobe Communications, in a statement.
"With access to LightSquared's 4G-LTE and satellite services, we have an opportunity to offer competitive mobile data service options that meet our clients' need for speed, mobility and network resiliency," said Mayerhoff.
Sanjiv Ahuja, chairman and chief executive officer of LightSquared said that the company is excited to partner with this well-established integrated service provider.
Ahuja said that this partnership represents an important step toward making the latest generation of mobile services available to a significant and growing customer segment for LightSquared.
“Through our partnership, LightSquared will help InterGlobe meet its business clients' demand for affordable, high-speed mobile connectivity in one of the most competitive market corridors in the United States," he said.
MobilityTechzone recently reported that LightSquared, a wholesale-only integrated 4G-LTE wireless broadband and satellite network, announced it has signed integrated communications provider PowerNet Global as a wholesale customer on LightSquared’s 4G-LTE network.
As a wholesale customer of LightSquared, the integrated communications provider will develop its own branded voice and high-speed mobile data services for its business and residential customers.
