Vringo Announces Release of its Facetones Product on GetJar

Vringo, developer of software platforms for mobile video applications and video ringtones, announced that its Facetones product will be launched on GetJar, the largest free mobile app store in the world.

Vringo developed its Facetones product to support the creation of an automated video slideshow which features photos of the user’s friends – something which has been gleaned from users’ social media websites and photo sites. Once the video slideshow has been created, the Facetones product plays the video slideshow every time the user either receives or makes a call over his or her mobile device.

Andrew Perlman, Vringo's president, said, "GetJar makes it possible to expand the reach of our Facetones product on a truly global scale. Boasting 2 billion downloads to date, GetJar provides more than 150,000 mobile applications across all major platforms. After the successful launch of our Video ReMix app earlier this year, we are thrilled to be working with GetJar again as we launch Facetones through their mobile platform."

Facetones offers its users an enhanced mobile experience as it collaborates with leading social media site, Facebook. Users of GetJar will be provided with an ad-supported version of Facetones on their official website www.getjar.com

Bill Scott, senior vice president of sales and business development at GetJar, said, "Facetones is a great example of how to harness the best of mobile social technology and put it to use benefiting the consumer. We believe the Facetones application will be well-received by our global user-base."

Vringo provides its customers and partners with an extensive suite of fully-hosted and scalable mobile video platforms. The company's video and mobile social application platforms have been deployed by its partners in 11 markets across the globe. Subscribers using the cloud-based distributed application platform can easily browse and download mobile videos, which can then be set as video ringtones on their mobile devices and can share these mobile videos with their contacts and friends.

Currently Vringo has established content partnerships with a number of content providers. These include big names such as EMI, T-Pain, Tiesto, Muhammad Ali, Turner, Marvel, Discovery Mobile, RTL, Ingrooves and Agence France-Presse.
