Cbeyond Announces the Availability of HTC EVO 4G for Small Businesses

Cbeyond, a provider of IT and communications services to small businesses, announced it is now offering the HTC EVO 4G smartphone, enabling small businesses to boost productivity with faster speed, unlimited data and a powerful operating system.

Featuring Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system, HTC EVO 4G offers unlimited data access with no data caps or speed throttling with Cbeyond's mobile service plan. The service enables access to the Internet up to 10 times faster than traditional mobile devices through the use of 4G technology.

With mobile hot spot capability, the smartphone allows small business customers to perform business collaboration. The hot spot permits up to eight additional Wi-Fi-enabled devices to access the Internet. It also supports Exchange ActiveSync for access to Microsoft Outlook e-mail accounts and Cbeyond's cloud-based Hosted Microsoft Exchange service.

With these advanced capabilities, Cbeyond equips small business customers with advanced wireless technologies that have frequently been the domain of large companies with dedicated IT budgets.

“It's critical that small businesses have access to today's most productivity-enhancing solutions like the EVO 4G,” said Vince Zappa, senior director of Cbeyond Wireless Services, in a statement. “We ensure the latest technology gets into the hands of small businesses to help propel their productivity and profitability. With the EVO 4G, things like mobile marketing, location-based services and mobile payments become a reality for small business.”

HTC EVO 4G features a bright 4.3” screen. It has 720i HDMI video output. The service includes full access to Android market. The phone is available from Cbeyond for $100 with a two-year contract. Customers can subscribe to an unlimited voice, data and messaging package for $100 monthly.

In June, Cbeyond announced it had been selected as a 2011 Georgia Fast 40 Company by the Atlanta chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG Atlanta). The recognition was given considering Cbeyond's consistent revenue and employee growth year over year.
