Samsung Mobile and AT&T Sponsor m3 Mobility Exchange in San Diego

Samsung Telecommunications America, a leading mobile phone provider in the U.S., and telecom major AT&T will sponsor m3 Mobility Exchange, a three day networking and business information exchange event in San Diego, CA.

Samsung and AT&T have invited a limited group of guests from Fortune 1000 companies to the Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego where attendees can experiment wireless solutions for their organizations. Highlights of the event include AT&T keynote addresses, vertical panel discussions, and one-on-one meetings.

The invitation-only event is meant for C-level mobile decision makers to focus on three key vertical segments within the mobile landscape: health, finance and retail.

A complimentary Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, 30 days of AT&T LTE service and a collection of pre-loaded enterprise applications will be offered to event attendees.

These apps include ProntoForms, Box.net, Quickoffice Pro and Pyxis Mobile. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 includes enterprise solutions and services including support for Exchange ActiveSync version 14; on device encryption; Cisco VPN; mobile device management and Cisco WebEx mobile conference solution for meetings on the go.

“We are sponsoring this year’s m3 Mobility Exchange to showcase our initial SAFE solutions to a subset of customers and partners in the healthcare, retail and finance sectors,” said Tim Wagner, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Sales for Samsung Mobile, in a statement.

In 2012, Samsung plans to expand the SAFE umbrella to include a wider range of enterprise solutions across many more Samsung devices in addition to the Galaxy S II smartphones and Galaxy Tab tablet line.

“As one of the premier worldwide providers of mobile communications services and solutions, we look forward to sharing our vision of the mobile enterprise with the attendees of m3 Mobility Exchange this week,” said Mobeen Khan, executive director, Advanced Mobility Solutions, AT&T Business Solutions.

Recently, Samsung Telecommunications installed 20 new charging stations in terminals at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). With the installation of new charging stations, DCA has become the first airport to install the redesigned charging stations for travelers to charge their mobile phones, laptops and other personal electronics for free.
