Motorola Mobility DROID XYBOARD Tablets Launched on Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Network

Motorola Mobility, mobile handset company, and Verizon Wireless, leading telecom service provider, announced the launch of DROID XYBOARD tablets on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network.

Consumers will be able to leverage two new DROID tablets to stay connected, productive and entertained, company officials said.

Verizon Wireless has also started selling DROID RAZR by Motorola.  All three products will be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, company officials said.

The new DROID XYBOARD tablets feature dual-core 1.2 GHz processors, 1 GB of RAM and MotoCast for remote access to non DRM-protected music, pictures, videos and documents stored on work or home computers' hard drives.

Business ready features of these tablets include enterprise-grade security and apps such as Quickoffice HD for document editing and creation, Citrix GoToMeeting for productivity and collaboration and Google Talk for video conferencing.

While Motorola’s DROID XYBOARD 10.1 is optimized for productivity with stylus support for note-taking and markup, the XYBOARD 8.2 is ideal for portable entertainment with 2.1 adaptive virtual surround sound and a high-definition display for enjoying Netflix movies in up to HD quality, concert-like music and serious gaming.

DROID XYBOARD 10.1 and 8.2 customers will be powered by the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network. Customers can experience speeds of 5 to 12 megabits per second (Mbps) and upload speeds of 2 to 5 Mbps within 4G LTE Mobile Broadband coverage areas, according to a press statement.

Verizon is offering special promotion to tap more customers. Users will receive $100 off a DROID XYBOARD tablet and $50 off select Motorola accessories for a limited time when a customer purchases a DROID RAZR by Motorola with a new two-year customer agreement.

Recently, Motorola Mobility announced that the new Motorola XOOM Family edition will be available exclusively from Best Buy. The Family edition comes packed with all the necessary features to entertain everyone in the house with TV shows, thousands of movies and fun-filled educational games for kids of all ages.
