Reverb Networks Announces Release of its InteliSON Self-Optimized Network (SON) Solution for LTE Networks

Reverb Networks, provider of software-based, fully integrated, automated, and continuous and Intelligent SON solutions designed to bring down OpEx and CapEx for wireless network operators, has announced the launch of its new InteliSON Self-Optimized Network (SON) solution offering which has been enabled with support capabilities for LTE networks.

The latest offering from Reverb is the first antenna-based SON solution in the industry which has been designed to optimize coverage and capacity of LTE Radio Access Networks automatically.

The InteliSON platform’s architecture has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the operator’s existing RAN performance and network management systems. The integration allows extraction of critical KPI data which is leveraged by the InteliSON’s algorithm engine essential for automating changes in the antenna tilt.

The solution which features a continuous, closed-loop and fully automated design makes it easy for operators of wireless networks to achieve optimized network performance, bring down optimization and network performance costs annually incurred and the typical CapEx needs associated with expansion of networks.

Reverb‘s new InteliSON Self-optimized Network solution can easily interoperate with multi-vendor network infrastructures. Furthermore, the solution is capable of functioning in coordination with other SON processes, such as parameter-based SONs which are not dependant on the changes in the antenna tilt for enabling optimization.

In a release, Magnus Friberg, Reverb’s CEO, said that, “Our InteliSON R2.0 release extends Reverb’s first to market antenna-based SON solution from UMTS to LTE, where characteristics such as hard handover and higher cell edge interference make RAN optimization even more challenging. We believe that our SON technology will be invaluable to operators striving to maximize their investment in LTE infrastructure.”

Based in Ashburn, VA, Reverb Networks develops software-based, closed-loop, automated, continuous and Intelligent SON solutions. Furthermore the company’s solutions are advanced, can integrate completely with the network and have been designed for easy implementation.

In other news, Reverb Networks recently announced the completion of a successful capital raise of $7 million USD. The financing was arranged through Friedli Corporate Finance, a leading Swiss venture capital firm.
